Frank has been in the general management of numerous small businesses for the past 35 years. He was a Co founder and VP of Cermalloy, a microelectronics materials company, a director of Cermatronics Boeki, ltd, a Japanese trading company engaged in sale and distribution of printed circuitry equipment and in 1989 purchased JA Moody, a Marine flow products sales and service company. He is also a majority owner and Chairman of SSG/Barco, inc an environmental contracting business. He has a BS in Chemistry from St Joseph University.
Lisa Smith
Lisa Smith President
Lisa joined JA Moody in 2012 as VP of Sales. She is responsible for developing strategies that drive growth and profitability across the organization. In 2014 she was promoted to Executive Vice President of the company. In 2015 she was promoted to President of the company . In this capacity, Lisa oversees JA Moody’s internal and external sales teams as well as the operations area. Under her leadership JA Moody has become ISO 9001 certified and has grown it’s commercial marine business by adding additional product lines and new sales territories. Lisa was previously a partner at a financial services firm where she was responsible for developing new products and formulating and executing a sales and market delivery strategy for over six hundred clients. She holds a certificate of achievement in Government Contracting from Villanova University and has a Bachelor of Arts from Bucknell University. In her free time, she enjoys working out, cooking and watching her son play football and her daughter ride horses.
Mark Petersen-Overton
Mark Petersen-OvertonVice-President of Operations
Mark is the Vice President of Operations and is responsible for IT, inventory management, warehouse operations, purchasing, receiving, compliance, ISO 9001:2008 MREP, accounting, vendor management, and finance. Prior to joining JA Moody, Mark served as the Senior Vice President of the Engineering Services Group at LCE where he was responsible for all Hull Mechanical and Electrical professional engineering services across the country.

Mark completed a 26-year career with the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Captain. He served initially as a Surface Warfare Officer for 10 years then transferred to Engineering Duty for the remainder of his career. Mark served as Chief Engineer of USS Reid (FFG-30) and USS NIMITZ (CVN-68). He also completed tours as Ship Maintenance Officer for both the Commander Naval Surface Group Middle Pacific (COMNAVSURFGRUMIDPAC) in Hawaii and Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific (COMNAVAIRPAC) in Coronado, CA. Mark completed tours as a project superintendent at Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. He was also honored to serve as the Commanding Officer, Fleet Technical Support Center, Pacific (FTSCPAC).

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina, a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Mark is DAWIA Level III Certified in Production Quality and Manufacturing (PQM)

Kevin Thibault

Kevin is our Vice President of our service company, Moody Marine Service. Kevin has over 25 years of experience servicing products in the Marine Controls Industry including recognizable brands as Morpac, Marotta, Leslie, Tyco and Nu-Torque. Kevin has been with JA Moody for 16 years running our service group comprised of seven technicians and two locations. Prior to that, Kevin had 10 years with Control Masters and 4 years served in the US Navy.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family and golfing. He also has a passion for building cars and his latest is a ’65 Cobra.
Scott Beardsley
Scott BeardsleyVice President of Sales
Scott Beardsley, our Vice President of Sales & Marketing, is located in the greater Mobile, Alabama area. He has focused his entire career in the maritime industry, primarily on the Gulf Coast. He brings a well-rounded background to the company having served in variety of capacities from sales and marketing with North Atlantic Power Products to project management with Alaska Ship & Dry-dock, now Vigor Alaska. Scott has over twenty years of experience in the distribution and service repair of valves and controls. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy, is an active member in the Propeller Club-Port of Mobile, and is heavily involved in Youth Soccer both as a club manager and coach.
Doug Horne
Doug HorneProgram Manager North East Technical Sales Representative
Doug is located in our Malvern, Pa headquarters and covers the NorthEast as our Navy Regional Manager for JA Moody. He has over 15 years of experience with valves and actuators and is our Vanessa and K-Lok product specialist. Prior to joining JA Moody, Doug was a product specialist for Tyco (now Emerson) and contract administrator for Anderson Greenwood. He has in depth knowledge of safety relief valves. Doug is ASME certified, a Six Sigma Green Belt and holds a BBA from Texas A&M. Doug has primary responsibility for many of our largest Navy Clients including Bath Iron Works, Electric Boat and Irving.

Guy Shobe

Guy is located in the San Diego area and has covered the West Coast for JA Moody since Jan 2012. He has over 20 years of experience in sales and business development of technical, engineered products and services in the marine industry. Most of his career has been spent covering the U.S. Navy and commercial marine companies on the West Coast and Canada for power generation and propulsion systems specialists Rolls-Royce Naval Marine and Wartsila NA. Guy has a BS degree in Marine Engineering Systems from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY.
Nick Pappas
Nick PappasTechnical Sales Representative
Nick Pappas is our technical salesperson located in Jacksonville, Florida. Nick’s territory includes the state of Florida, the east coast including Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Caroline. Nick also covers the Great Lakes Region from Wisconsin to Buffalo, New York. Nick has been in the maritime industry for 22 years, primarily covering the U.S. Navy and commercial marine companies. Nick holds a B.A. in Management, with a minor in History from Ashford University. He is a member of the Association of Naval Engineers, the Navy League, the Propeller Club of Jacksonville, and the Jacksonville Ship Repair Association. He joined JA Moody in 2014 and comes to us with plenty of sales and industry experience, allowing him to quickly provide value to our customer network. Rickey is responsible for the Texas and Louisiana territory for JA Moody. He is an exceptionally well organized individual who is reliable and self-motivated. Rickey has a track record that demonstrates creativity and initiative to achieve the goals and objectives that help us drive the level of responsiveness that we provide to our customers. David Finn

David Finn is our Technical Sales Representative covering the Hampton Roads area. Prior to joining the J.A. Moody team, David served in the United States Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer from 2012 – 2016. He served as the Ordnance Officer onboard USS STOUT (DDG-55), the Navigator on USS CARTER HALL (LSD-50) and as the Waterfront Company Commander at Amphibious Construction Battalion TWO. David holds a Bachelors of Arts in History from the College of the Holy Cross. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling around the country, spending time with his family, playing rugby and is an automotive enthusiast.
Mike Holohan
Mike HolohanEngineer Manager, New England Technical Sales Office
Mike joined JA Moody in late 2018 and serves as our Engineer Manager providing technical assistance to our Navy clients and spearheading shock & vibe testing for our products. Mike was formerly the Sales Manager and Navy Engineering Lead for the Marine Business Unit at Emerson. At Emerson, he worked primarily with the Navy Butterfly and Vanessa Valve product lines and was the Project Manager for Electric Boat, BIW and HII accounts among others. Mike holds a BS in Marine Engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy and was a Naval Reserve Officer in Naval Control of Shipping and participated in 6 worldwide exercises.
